The ALA staff will provide students avenues to recoup lost credit, build positive self-esteem while empowering and inspiring students to excel academically and socially to be productive citizens, future leaders and life-long learners. Our goal for ALA is to meet the exceptional needs of alternative students in the Flint Community. We are excited to provide unique opportunities for learning and support. Our framework is an intentional design developed by staff and building administrators, central administrators and staff, parent and student input, and data-driven conversations to address student gaps in well-being, academic proficiency, and credit recovery while utilizing individualized approaches for the success of all our students.
