The mission of CICS Prairie, in partnership with families and communities, is to develop our 21st century learners by providing authentic STEM education experiences through effective implementation of innovative and interactive learning programs. CICS Prairie inspires students and cultivates a passion for contributing to the greater good of the community.
Our vision is to close the achievement gap by increasing the number of high achieving charter schools and consequently the opportunities for our children to succeed in school, in college, and in life. We rely on proven strategies and state-of-the-art technology to create rich learning environments for students and teachers, while making effective use of available resources.

Designated a National School of Distinction by the John F. Kennedy Center, The Academy offers students the opportunity to engage in a unique co-curricular program: rigorous, college-preparatory academic classes and professional-level arts training in the context of an unparalleled school culture. The Academy’s school day consists of a modified block schedule of three 75-minute blocks of academic courses and a 45-minute flex period followed by a three-plus hour immersion in a student's chosen arts department: Dance, Media Arts (filmmaking, animation, creative writing), Music, Musical Theatre, Theatre, and Visual Arts. At The Chicago Academy for the Arts, young artists master the skills necessary for academic success, critical thought, and creative expression.

Largo Middle IB World School’s Middle Years IB programme provides an intellectually challenging environment that encourages students to become critical and reflective thinkers in preparation for success in college, careers, and citizenship in the 21st century global environment. The International Baccalaureate Program is designed to help middle school students find a sense of belonging in the changing and increasingly interrelated world around them and to foster a positive attitude toward learning and service to others. Largo Middle School strives to inspire students to be internationally minded, critical thinkers, and responsible global citizens who have a passion for lifelong learning and service.
